I'm still alive

So I had a bit of a hiatus with this blog, mostly because what with family illness, work related drama and then a week and a half vacation and not being home I hadn't really had time to either write OR knit. And an unfortunate (well, not really) addiction to a game that I HAD to finish to find out what was going to happen.

Yes, I'm a geek and I fully admit it.

Anyway, I've bought much yarn lately because I'm bad and shouldn't be buying yarn that I have no immediate projects in mind for. I snapped up 7 skeins of Alchemy's synchronocity in foxglove when Webs was having a sale since I'd fallen in love with the yarn up in portland but rather thought that dropping over a hundred dollars on yarn at the very first store I went to would be bad *grin* I've also picked up some noro silk blend yarn (I don't remember what it is exactly, perils of writing things at work. All yarns I don't have any plans for.

Projects in the works right now:
Adamas shawl...been ongoing for ages and I keep picking it up and putting it back down
A scarf for myself out of Lisa Souza's El diablo blend in wild things
And I cast on for a sweater last night, mostly because I needed mindless knitting and for watching television and really there's nothing more mindless than 16 inches of stockinette stitch.
