Yarn lust

So I've threatened to make my friend I'm visiting over the weekend take me to yarn stores. Is that so wrong?

I finished up the blanket last night. There were little bits of trimmed fringe everywhere in my room when I finished. Hopefully pictures will be forthcoming soon (I asked a friend to bring over a camera since I dont' have one myself.) I'm still not too happy with the color scheme but it didn't turn out too bad for a project that I bought the yarn for when I really didn't know what I was doing.

Now I just need to get working on the two shawls I have planned, a sweater and probably a scarf as well, all of which I already have the yarn for.

Maybe I don't need to visit yarn stores after all...

I'm not dead

So I haven't posted in here for awhile, mostly because I haven't been doing any really interesting knitting to talk about. I have seven more rows of blanket then I can block it and add some fringe and be done with it. Go me and all that as this is the single largest piece of knitting I've finished. (not that it's really an accomplishment being a modified garter stitch) Still not entirely sure I like the color scheme as it turned out but as I'm not keeping it I suppose it doesn't matter if I don't find it completely to my taste. I'd like to do another blanket sometime but something a lot more interesting to work on hopefully.

Perhaps pictures will be forthcoming if I can sweet talk one of my friends into bringing over a camera

So other than that I have two shawls in the planning stages that I really need to work on and probably a scarf for a break from lace knitting. Also to do on the road trip I have next month but I really need to see how much yarn some of my scarf patterns will take. I'd love to use the love silk blend yarn I have but I'm not sure if there's enough of it to make a scarf. We'll see, I guess.
